A white glazed porcelain figure of a whippet dog in a pose demonstrating wonderful kinetic movement. This well-known figure was manufactured in Germany in the 1930s based upon the mark on the underside. The Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory, creator of Nymphenburg porcelain, is situated next to the Nymphenburg Palace in Munich, capital of Bavaria, and since the mid-eighteenth century has been manufacturing porcelain of high artistic value.
